The 14th episode of the Goon Show’s third series – ‘The Tragedy of Oxley Towers’ – was broadcast on 10 February 1953. The listing is available on page 24 of this week’s Radio Times.
Strangely, there is a skyscraper development called Oxley Towers in Kuala Lumpur, near the Petronas Tower. I wonder if anyone knows what the tragedy was? Maybe Eccles was the foreman?
Valentine Dyall, “The Man In Black” as he was known, also made his first appearance on the show, alongside Sellers, Secombe and Graham Stark.
